Pic: Members of All Saints’ Church visited their local police station in Kabega Park, and the fire and ambulance station in Greenbushes, on Christmas Day to take them parcels of Christmas cheer, in appreciation of their work over the festive season. Veronica Kaibe, one of the churchwardens, hands a parcel to the firemen on duty.

Little lambs stole the show Pic: Cute little lambs - The five little lambs at the House of Resurrection Haven carol service stole the show and looked so cute as they did their bit. Ecumenism at Advent “Each year on the first Sunday in Advent we have the Festival of Seven Lessons and Carols at 19h00 in our little Cathedral of St George the Martyr, Windhoek. On the fourth Sunday of Advent we have the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, also at 19h00 - although this year we shall be holding this service on the third Sunday in Advent. For the Seven Lessons and Carols we have an augmented choir with members of our own very small choir, folk from the GermanLutheran Church and some from the Christian Community Church - not too bad for ecumenical relations!”
Archbishop of York speaks out A survey conducted in Britain claimed that three out of four employers had banned Christmas decorations for fear of offending other faiths. The study found that 74 per cent of managers were not allowing any decorations in their offices this year. Bosses also felt that Christmas trees and tinsel made offices unprofessional, said law firm Peninsula.
